EPISODE 6: MOBILE RECRUITING STRATEGY WITH CARRIE CORBIN (@thecarriecorbin)

Mobile recruitment is still in its early adoption phase when it comes to the recruiting and HR industries. Because of that, there are very few practitioners who have experience building a strategy especially for a large organization. Carrie Corbin is one of the few who really understands mobile recruiting. She’s worked for large enterprises building recruitment and talent attraction strategies for companies including Samsung and AT&T.

When it comes to mobile recruitment, the use of job seekers accessing mobile is only just beginning. One of my favorite recent reports on mobile comes from Indeed who now reports than 50% of all web traffic happens on their site from a mobile device. And with the iPhone6 pre-order sales in the first 24 hours topping over 4 million phones, I don’t see this stopping.

Carrie breaks down the difference between mobile apps and site that are mobile rendering. We also discuss how Google Analytics can be a powerful resource to understand your career site traffic before you plan your strategy. She also shares how she used mobile to build AT&T’s talent network. The talent network provided AT&T a way to promote job openings to network members versus relying on job board postings.  She helps our listeners prioritize their own efforts and introduce a number of different mobile recruitment options to begin building your strategy from.
